Safety & health information

Natural rubber latex allergy warning

This product contains natural rubber latex, which may cause allergic reactions in sensitive individuals.

How to use your condom correctly

  1. 1

Use a new condom for each act of intercourse. Check the expiration date — do not use if expired or if the package is damaged.

  2. 2

Carefully open the packet — never with teeth, scissors, or fingernails. Put the condom on after the penis is fully erect, before any intimate contact.

  3. 3

Squeeze the tip to remove air. If uncircumcised, pull foreskin back first. Unroll the condom all the way to the base.

  4. 4

Use water-based lubricant only (included in this kit). Oil-based products like petroleum jelly, mineral oil, or baby oil damage latex and can cause breakage.

  5. 5

After sex, hold the condom at the base before withdrawing while still erect. Remove carefully and discard in the trash—never flush.

Before you use it

  • Incorrect or inconsistent use diminishes effectiveness against unintended pregnancy and STI transmission.
  • If the material feels sticky, brittle, or visibly damaged, do not use the condom.
  • If the color looks uneven or changed, do not use the condom.

How latex condoms help protect you

Latex condoms reduce STI transmission risk

Used correctly and consistently, they significantly reduce but do not eliminate your risk of transmitting or receiving an STI, including HIV/AIDS. No contraceptive method is 100% effective. Use a new condom with every act of intercourse; never reuse.

HIV/AIDS & gonorrhea

Condoms are most effective against infections spread through contact with the head of the penis.

HPV & herpes

Less effective here, since these can spread through contact with infected skin the condom doesn't cover.
